After cutting chilies or making chili paste, you may feel a burning sensation on your hands. This problem is especially common in people with sensitive skin or those who have certain skin allergies. To avoid this problem, cut the chilies with scissors instead of a knife or a pair of scissors. Even if you wear gloves, your hands will not burn.
If your hands burn, you can reduce the discomfort by following some immediate strategies.
1. Cold milk:
To reduce the burning sensation in your hands, dip your hands in cold milk. You can add some ice cubes to the milk for comfort.
2. Aloe Vera Gel:
Applying aloe vera gel to your hands will also provide relief.
3. Yogurt:
Yogurt is very effective in reducing hand irritation. Take sour yogurt in a large bowl and soak your hands in it for a while.
4. Baking soda:
Mix baking soda with water to make a paste and apply it on your hands. Wash it off when it dries.
5. olive/vegetable oil
Massage your hands with olive oil or vegetable oil.
6. dishwashing soap
Rub dishwashing soap on your hands. You will feel comfortable.
